Cow-A-Dunga! Cow flop bingo will benefit nursing home residents

STERLING ? Here's the poop: A Cow-A-Dunga fundraiser to benefit local nursing home residents will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.Aug. 12 at Rock River Gardens, 3601 16th Ave.

Tickets for the 50-50 cow bingo game, in which you get a square and hope Betsy the cow makes a deposit on it, are $100 each. If all 100 tickets sell, the maximum prize will be $5,000. If Betsy hits more than one square, proceeds will be split equally.

A free petting farm will be set up, face painting offered, and cotton candy, popcorn and walking tacos will be sold.

Proceeds will help pay for activities, room items and other residents' needs at Petersen Health Care facilities in Rock Falls and Sterling .
