Porsche raffle: For the 30th consecutive year, the foundation will raffle a 2018 Porsche 911 to one winner at 12 p.m. on June 16 at the Jack Daniels Porsche dealership in Upper Saddle River. The brand new red 911 Carrera is valued at $95,000, and equipped with a twin-turbo three-litre six-cylinder Boxer engine that makes 370 horsepower. Its track speed tops out at 183 miles per hour, accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. It uses an estimated 20 mpg in the city and an estimated 29 mpg on the highway. The car features 19-inch wheels, all-around four-piston aluminum monobloc fixed brake calipers and a communication management system that includes navigation.

Youth Chess Club

This chess club for students in middle school through high school continues on Tuesdays, from 4 to 6 p.m., through June at Archer United Methodist Church in Allendale. All interested youth in the area are welcome. From beginner to experienced, all participants will be matched according to skill level. Qualified adult supervision and instruction will be provided. There is no charge, but participants are asked to bring a small item to each session for the Center for Food Action local food bank. Advance registration and parent permission forms (obtainable at ArcherChurch.org) are required.

Meals That Matter fundraiser

Enjoy your meal out, so others may enjoy their meal in. Community Meals, Inc. is holding its 9th annual fundraiser. On June 14, at the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern, the Sicilian Sun in Ho-Ho-Kus, the Village Grille in Waldwick and the Office Tavern Grill in Ridgewood, a portion of the day's receipts will be donated to CMI.

Community Meals receives no government funding so donations and fundraising are the only way they close the gap between revenues and costs. More than a third of the meals are delivered to financially needy seniors who pay nothing them. So support this event! Community Meals is the ONLY "meals on wheels" organization serving Allendale, Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Ridgewood, Waldwick and part of Saddle River. NHRHS Project Graduation

Northern Highlands Regional High School is participating in a nationwide activity called Project Graduation, for graduating seniors in the towns of Allendale, Ho-Ho-Kus, Saddle River, and Upper Saddle River. Project Graduation is designed to be an alcohol and drug-free evening directly following graduation on June 21. Tax-deductible donations from corporate and individual sponsors are welcomed and appreciated to ensure a safe and fun night for all of those who would like to attend. Donations to this 501c(3) organization are 100 percent tax deductible. Track and field camp

The 19th annual Big Red Track & Field Camp for boys and girls entering 1st through 9th grades will again be held at the Ho-Ho-Kus Public School this summer. This camp typically is held at Northern Highlands but has moved due to the track renovation. The camp runs from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. Week 1 is June 25 to June 28. Week 2 is July 2, July 3, July 5 and July 6. The camp includes instruction, games and competitions with

Northern Highlands Baseball

Red & Black Camp: June 26 to June 29 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. under the direction of Highlander Head Coach, Paul Albarella. Open to all athletes entering grades 3 through 9. This camp is designed to focus on the development of baseball fundamentals, improving skills and developing team concepts. $200 for the week. Girl Scout collecting games for project

Megan McCarthy, a member of Girl Scout Troop 359, in Allendale, is currently working on her Girl Scout Gold Award Project. As part of the project, she is looking to collect gently used games and activities for grades K-6. These will be donated to a low income school district in Bergan County. Items can be dropped off at Lee Memorial Library through June 30.

Crestwood Park fireworks display

There will be a fireworks display at Crestwood Park in Allendale on July 4. This all-day event will include activities for all ages. The day will start with a flag raising ceremony at 7 a.m. at Memorial Park, complete with a cannon blast; at 8 a.m. there will be a host of activities at Brookside Recreation Park, including field events for children, a water balloon toss for all ages, an adult horseshoe contest and a women's rolling pin toss; refreshments will be served all day; and an outdoor concert, featuring patriotic music at Crestwood Park followed by a fireworks display. Kindergarten registration

Wandell School in Saddle River is now holding registration for the full day kindergarten program for the 2018-2019 school year. A child must be five years old on or before Oct. 1, 2018, to be eligible to enter kindergarten in September 2018. Out-of-district students will be considered, provided there is capacity. Anyone with an eligible child is asked to call the Wandell School office, 201-327-0727, to request registration forms, or visit the Wandell School website at www.wandellschool.org to download registration forms. As required by the State of New Jersey, all children entering kindergarten must have a physical examination, all immunizations must be up-to-date, and the originals of the following documents must be presented at the time of registration: child's birth certificate, lease/deed or affidavit of landlord, utility bill and parent's driver's license.

Allendale Scouts

Join the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department

Membership is open to men and women over the age of 18 (16-18 for the Junior Auxiliary). Prospective members interested in learning more about joining are invited to stop by Fire Headquarters any Tuesday evening between 7:30- 9 p.m., or, contact recruitment@hhkfire.com. The HHKFD is 100 percent volunteer. "Neighbors helping neighbors." Join the tradition, serve, protect, save lives.

In the Saddle equestrian club

In the Saddle, Bergen County's4-H co-ed equestrian club, meets once a month under the guidance of 4-H volunteers Petra Arnone and Susan Grein. The club is open to grades 4 through 13, and is especially looking for boys and girls who have experience with horses. Club activities will vary and include learning all aspects of horsemanship, trips to barns, and trail rides. Allendale Woman's Club

Since Dec. 13, 1918, women in Allendale have united in community service activities and philanthropy. Today, the Allendale Woman's Club is comprised of more than 60 diverse and talented women who are dedicated to continuing that tradition of volunteerism to make a difference in the community and beyond. In the course of 100 years of women working together, the club has honored the goals of the earlier women's clubs and strengthened communities.

All woman who reside in Allendale and the surrounding towns are encouraged to consider joining the club. Popular annual community events are a fashion show, plant sale, town-wide garage sale (biennial), holiday breakfast, and band night. Along with hosting these events, the organization awards college scholarships to high school seniors each year and coordinates community service outreach programs and education. Ho-Ho-Kus Garden Club

The Ho-Ho-Kus Garden Club is a social and community service group whose members enjoy gardening and learning about the environment. Some club projects are caring for the town's "bus stop" garden on the corner of Franklin Turnpike and decorating the exterior of The Hermitage, an historic house museum. Meetings feature guest speakers and are held the last Monday of the month beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Church, 400 Warren Ave.. Bergen County American Legion

Leaders Save Lives: This program gives students the opportunity to earn the accomplishment of helping save lives by hosting a blood drive during their summer break. Student leaders who participate can earn a chance to win a scholarship, volunteer hours, leadership experience, a gift card award and more. Camp Algonquin

Registration is open for Woodcliff Lake children age 4 through grade 7 for Camp Algonquin summer camp sessions. Camp is also open to the children of anyone employed in the borough (sign up must be at Borough Hall, with proof of employment) as well as residents of Hillsdale, Montvale, Park Ridge, Saddle River and Upper Saddle River. Anyone who signs up for a pool membership, regardless of residency, can also register. Register through Community Pass (register.communitypass.net/reg/).
