Also offered is a full range of classes including art, quilting, ballroom dancing and line dancing, crocheting, topiary, computer skills, and bridge.
The Center promotes healthful living by offering numerous health and fitness programs. Fitness programs include women’s and men’s exercise classes, chair exercise, flexibility and balance class, and an exercise room. The Center’s exercise room allows seniors to experience a balance workout on several types of equipment, including two treadmills, recumbent bike, a row machine, and various free weights.

Educational and informative lectures - hosted by various agencies - are available for seniors to attend. Understanding Medicare, achieving a healthier lifestyle, reducing medical costs, and AARP 55 Alive Driving Class are some of the topics addressed at the Center.
Throughout the year, the Center hosts several special events including a Senior Health Fair, Thanksgiving, Luncheon, and various holiday functions. In addition to events held at the Center, the annual Old Tyme Picnic is held each June at City Park.
Volunteers are sought by the Center to serve as program/activity assistants and to help with clerical work, pack food bags, assist in the Reading Library and various other positions. Professionals such as nurses and doctors are also needed as instructors or to provide services at the Center. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Center at (951) 736-2363.
