Energy Crisis Intervention Program assists low income individuals with energy-related emergencies: Home Energy Assistance Program provides financial assistance to eligible households to offset the cost of heating and/or cooling dwellings. Assistance is provided once in any 12 month period and limited to 3 times in a life time. Free Weatherization services to income qualifying residents, (either renters or owners) includes insulation, weather-stripping, minor repairs and conservation measures.

  • Eligibility Requirements:Riverside County resident, household Income, number and age of individuals in the home, total monthly energy costs, frail, elderly and life-threatening medical need

They have been great in helping me with several diffent things. They seem to really care.

They helped me with a $650 bill in Jan 2015 and helped keep my electricity on for my family. Huge help. I did have to stay on top of them but once the process started it was fairly simple.

If you want services with them BE DILIGENT, DON'T LOSE YOUR COOL AND FOLLOW UP!! If you don't nothing will happen. J. at the Hemet office is nice enough but, certainly not thorough and she lost my docs. Also, if you get no response from your local office, call the main office as you'll get more action that way. No one has a sense of urgency, its just a job for them. PERIOD. Bureaucracy at its best... money provided to provide assistance but ineffective agencies at the end of the pipeline. SHAME!
