SEPTIC TANK PUMPER: Permit, inspect, investigate complaints, and monitor activities of businesses engaged in the cleaning and disposal of septic systems, grease traps, and portable toilets. REFUSE COLLECTION (COUNTY AREA ONLY): Permit, inspect: investigate complaints, and monitor activities of businesses engaged in collecting refuse. MEDICAL WASTE: Register, permit, and inspect medical waste generators, investigate, and resolve complaints regarding improper handling of medical waste. TRASH COMPLAINTS: Respond to complaints concerning landfilling (i.e. burial) of trash or garbage. For complaints concerning improper disposal/storage of household trash and garbage in the unincorporated areas of the County and in certain contract cities (i.e. Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Canyon Lake, Murrieta, Temecula) see the "Retail Food, Public Pools, Housing and Vector Control Program."
