RIVERSIDE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SOCIAL SERVICES: JURUPA VALLEY

Information provided by: Riverside County Office on Aging

The Assistance Programs consist of Food Stamps, General Relief, and Medi-Cal. Food Stamps provide aid in the form of coupons for limited grocery items. The Food Stamp Program is designed to promote the general welfare and to safeguard the health and well-being of the nation's population by raising the levels of nutrition among low-income households. Eligibility for this program is income-based. General Relief (GR) is a small, County-funded, vouchers-only program and is generally a source for needy individuals who may not qualify under the primary aid programs. The County provides for limited funding directly to the housing provider. The program also provides for a modest food supplement. Medi-Cal is health insurance for California residents with limited income and resources. Medi-Cal is health care insurance for children, pregnant women, families, the elderly, blind and disabled. Medi-Cal can pay for the expenses of pre-natal care, dental care, physical therapy, pharmacy services, vision care, nursing home care, emergency medical transportation and other medical expenses.

I have called and tried to leave a message with my case worker every day but her voice mail if full. I tried to leave a message or talk with her supervisor no such number. I have never had any problems with a case worker Or phone call with the office on La Sierra. I am at the point to go to higher management.

I want to specify if I could give a negative star count, I would. I don’t agree with one star, but I’m required to give a rating. One star is too good. I have left messages for my worker on 8/8, 8/11, 8/14, and 8/16 but have not gotten so much as a call back. I left a message for her supervisor on 8/11 and the higher supervisor on 8/11 and 8/16, still, no call back. A CSR told me they received my redetermination packet, but I keep getting notices saying they haven’t. They are required to call back within 48 hours. This is by far the worst service ever. I may have to take it all the way to the top.

Have tried to get a problem resolved since august my workers number never even rings to let you leave a message and the supervisors never call back even after leaving multiple messages. Horrible customer service

Riverside county in general is so outdated and unorganized, the social services department doesn't have anyone working anymore, no case worker contact info and no way to get in contact with anyone in their office.

Worse service I cannot explain. I applied for the Calfresh 2-3 weeks back, did a voice recording and went into the office to give my Paystub and since then over 3 weeks now and still waiting to connect. Whenever I call, I get VM after a wait of over 1-2 hours. Tried calling the supervisor, no VM as their mailbox is full. I wish they provide a email address to atleast reach out to your case worker. I am un-employed now for 2+ months and cannot reach my worker.
