Comforters sought for mental health center residents

Dec. 07--The Mental Health Center of North Central Alabama is aiming to provide a comforter for its residents at the mental health center. The center is asking for donations of $75 or twin-size comforters.

Bill Giguere, the development officer for the MHCNCA, said his organization has a goal of 50 comforters.

He said donated comforters can be dropped off at the administrative offices, 1316 Somerville Road S.E., Decatur; Decatur-Morgan Counseling Center, 4110 U.S. 31, Decatur; Albany Clinic for Children, 1315 13th Ave. S.E., Decatur; Moulton-Lawrence Counseling Center, 295 Hospital St., Moulton; and Athens-Limestone Counseling Center, 1307 E. Elm St., Athens.

Cash donations can be made online at mhcnca.org or by mailing a check to Foundation for Mental Health, 1316 Somerville Road S.E., Suite 1, Decatur, AL 35601.

Giguere said the donations are tax-deductible.
