SeaWorld gives free admission for military veterans and their families

Orlando Sentinel - 5/21/2019

May 20--Military veterans and their families can get free theme park tickets at SeaWorld Orlando this summer.

The offer begins Monday and runs through July 15, the Orlando-based SeaWorld Entertainment announced.

How the process works is between now and June 9, U.S. military veterans and retirees must redeem their complimentary single-day tickets, for themselves and up to three dependents online at www.WavesofHonor.com, the company's press release said. The tickets are good for the Orlando park as well as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and the SeaWorld-owned properties in San Diego and San Antonio.

The company's Waves of Honor program gives special discounts to those in the military throughout the year and has given more than 10 million guests free tickets since 2005, the release said.

"Offering free admission through our longstanding Waves of Honor program is just a small gesture of the deep gratitude we owe all those who serve," said the company's CEO Gus Antorcha in a news release.

At its SeaWorld Orlando park, Sesame Street land recently openly in late March. It's also the first summer season for the raft thrill ride Infinity Falls since its October debut.

SeaWorld Orlando also has brought back its free beer initiative this summer that begins May 25 through Sept. 2. Pass holders got a head start earlier this month to claim their free 14-ounce pour daily.
