BRIEF: Delray Beach parade to honor veterans on Nov. 11

Nov. 03--Delray Beach isn't only giving its employees a paid day off on Veterans Day for the first time, the city is also honoring veterans of all wars with a ceremony and a parade.

Veterans and residents are invited to a ceremony on Nov. 11 at Delray's Veterans Park, 802 Northeast First St.

The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be directly followed by a parade along Atlantic Avenue to honor the patriotism and service of those who served in the armed forces.

Two grand marshals, one a Silver Star recipient, the other a WWII and Korean War veteran, will lead the parade.

The march ends at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts at Old School Square, 51 North Swinton Ave.
