Sentinel to host Facebook Live discussion with caregiver support group leaders

Keene Sentinel - 6/6/2022

Jun. 6—Sentinel health solutions reporter Olivia Belanger explored why Cheshire County has the highest rates of dementia in the state in a story Saturday for the Monadnock Region Health Reporting Lab.

As part of that article, she spoke with local people caring for those with memory loss and the struggles they face.

The Sentinel is continuing this conversation Wednesday with two local support group leaders, who can provide some insight into how to help caregivers.

The live discussion will begin at 1 p.m. on The Sentinel's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/thekeenesentinel, with Evelyn Erb and John Everest from Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services.

People can send in questions ahead of time to Belanger at obelanger@keenesentinel.com or ask them in the comments section on Facebook during the discussion Wednesday.

The conversation will be transcribed in Belanger's health lab newsletter, The Check-Up, which hits inboxes Mondays. You can sign up for the newsletter at www.sentinelsource.com/newsletters/newsletters_signup/

Funding for the Monadnock Region Health Reporting Lab comes from several sources, including The Sentinel and many local businesses and private donors. We continue to seek additional support. The newsroom maintains full editorial control over all content.

Olivia Belanger can be reached at 352-1234, extension 1439, or obelanger@keenesentinel.com. Follow her on Twitter @OBelangerKS.
