The In-Home Supportive Services(IHSS) Public Authority maintains a county-wide Registry of background-checked and trained Home Care Providers who provide services to IHSS Consumers. Persons seeking employment as Home Care Providers may ask to be added to the Registry. Recruitment for Home Care Workers is continuous. Home Care Providers are paid $11.50/hour and may be eligible for health benefits depending on the number of hours they work. Persons receiving IHSS services, who are seeking Home Care Providers, should contact the IHSS Public Authority to receive referrals of potential Home Care Providers. The IHSS Public Authority accepts IHSS Consumer referrals from any source but verifies approved hours and need with the Consumer's IHSS Social Worker. No emergency services are available at this time. The IHSS Public Authority's services are free to Home Care Providers and IHSS Consumers.
