AbleData does not produce, distribute or sell any of the products listed on this website, but we provide you with information on how to contact manufacturers or distributors of these products. If you are interested in purchasing a product, you can find companies who sell it below.

SAM is designed to provide adapted computer access for individuals with upper extremity disabilities. These modified pointing devices are designed for both "Adaptive" and "Non-Adaptive" software applications. The switch is a substitute for the track ball and can be operated with various parts of the body, such as hands, feet, knees, elbows, head, etc. It serves as a switch interface for special software "looking" for the mouse-click as single switch; and allows cooperative control of conventional software so that a friend, parent, or sibling can move the mouse, while the switch-user does all the clicking with his or her switch. It features a drag-lock function to eliminate the need to click and drag simultaneously. COMPATIBILITY: Versions are available for use with Mac or Widows compatible computers.
