The Triton 3000 is a behind the ear hearing aid and special amplification device designed for people with moderate to severe hearing loss who are difficult to fit. It is appropriate for flat, precipitous, and sloping hearing loss. This instrument has three channel compression and is digitally programmable through connection to the universal programming unit (PMC). The instrument also has three independent amplifier channels using switch capacitors, and adjustable crossover frequencies. Independent gain and the Automatic Gain Control (AGC-I) threshold is programmable for each of the three channels. This hearing aid has a peak output of 133 decibels and a frequency range of 110 to 6900 Herz. The instrument is equipped with a volume control and an On-Telecoil-Mike (O-T-M) switch. POWER: The hearing aid is powered by a Type 675 zinc acid battery with a typical life of 170 hours.
