Power Talker

The Power Talker is communication board and direct selection communicator designed for use by children ages 18 months to 3 years just beginning to use a communication board. The Power Talker is designed to be used with the PowerPad expanded keyboard (see separate entry). An overlay is designed with 16 sections; the program can be configured by a parent or teacher to use as many as all 16 of the sections or as few as one. The default configuration is set to utilize all 16 pictures and phrases common to the pre-school child. The student program limits the child's access to the program as configured by the parent or teacher. The program does not permit data collection, but does provide a print option in the teacher's program to permit the PowerPad set-up to be printed. The complete set includes program disks, including a library graphics disks with all 16 pictures and phrases, and an overlay. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: A color monitor and an Echo Speech Synthesizer, and 128K of memory are required; the teacher set-up program requires two 5.25 inch disk drives. WARRANTY: Faulty disks will be replaced within 6 months of the date of purchase.
