The Orthocare K.W. Humeral and Forearm Abduction Splint ##2055 is a shoulder brace designed to immobilize the humerus and forearm in abduction following surgery. This adjustable brace consists of a foam block contoured to fit under the axilla and around the rib cage. The splint design allows the humerus to maintain 40 degrees abduction. If a greater angle is required, a wedge is provided that has a Velcro backing to be attached to the medial side of the splint. The humerus and forarm are retained in position by means of padded adjustable straps. A projection supporting the posterior humerus is provided to support the upper arm and maintain the shoulder abduction angle when the individual is reclining. The brace is maintained in position by an adjustable chest strap, and a second adjustable strap crosses over the healthy shoulder and is secured to the chest strap. SIZES: One size fits all.
