The Voter's Choice Wireless Alert System 2000, model 1899, is a voter assistance call signal and wireless signal transmitter designed for use to notify poll workers or precinct officials of the arrival of a voter with mobility disabilities needing curbside voting assistance. The system includes a passive infrared motion sensor that can detect a person or vehicle passing by up to about 50 feet away, depending on local terrain. Using a radio transmitter, the sensor sends a signal to a receiver up to 0.5 miles away. Up to four zones can be monitored by a single receiver with additional transmitters, and each transmitter can be programmed to produce a different tone in the receiver (classical, westminster chime, ding dong, or whistle). The receiver has sound and volume controls. The transmitter assembly is waterproof. This system can also be used at election offices, school entrances, fire stations, police stations, and buildings with limited handicap access. POWER: Motion sensor uses one 9-volt battery (not included); receiver plugs into wall outlet.
