--- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: To provide an opportunity for children who have difficulty with fine motor and upper extremity coordination participate in drawing activities by using a weighted marker holder to select and recap markers.

MATERIALS USED: Plastic container that will hold 1-inch base of plaster, plaster of paris, markers

PREPPARATION:
1. Add plaster of paris to the container.
2. Insert markers with the cap end down.
3. Allow plaster to harden.

Ways to Adapt this Activity
Modeling clay such as Crayola® Model Magic® that has hardened could be used to hold markers.
