A light weight food cutting board designed for individuals with limited dexterity, restricted hand function, repetitive strain, tendinitis or arthritis. The board material has an ‘orange peel surface’ the result: very little marking and your knife stays sharper for longer. The boards are stain, odor and mildew resistant. Non porous, so won’t absorb bacteria. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe. It can be picked and carried using the bar as a handle. The freestanding feature enables it to be placed anywhere to drain and air dry. The resulting small footprint makes for easy storage. Left standing at the back of a bench, ensures its always on hand. The board is supplied with a non slip mat, to be placed under the board. This mat also assists anyone with poor grip to remove jar and bottle screw tops.
The board includes a plastic Food Scoop which fits on either end of the board. Food is swept from the board, into the scoop, to easily transfer to a bowl or pot. This can all be achieved using one hand.
The Stirex U-2 Chef knife has a large grip polypropylene handle. It’s ergonomic design creates a good working position for the forearm and wrist.
The unique feature of the board is a downward biased stainless steel bar fixed near the rear edge by means of a pair of support posts fitted with springs. The point of the Stirex knife is inserted under the biased bar enabling users to cut, chop, slice, effortlessly and safely.
