Tweri is a mobility tracking application, that allows the location of a person with Alzheimer's to be tracked.

The application, designed in collaboration with AFAL (Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's) - Getafe (Madrid - Spain), is an option for families and caregivers of Alzheimer's patients who want to improve the autonomy of these people, keeping quiet during the walks that occur in the early stages of the disease.

The application allows a caregiver to establish both distance safety limits for the individual and a maximum time limit for the individual to be out on their own.

When the patient goes for a walk, the caregiver or family member can activate the application. At the time when safety limits are exceeded, the app automatically alerts the caregiver via email stating this fact, coupled with the latest geographical position obtained by the device.

In addition, the patient can send an alert if they feel that they are lost at any time by pressing a button on the display.

The application continues to operate even when the patient's phone runs out of data, GPS connection or battery life. The server software allows the caregiver to still be alerted when a certain time period has passed or the patient has moved out of the safety limits and has not sent notice of their position.
