PresAlert is an emergency alert system designed for use in independent living and assisted living facilities. The system includes a base unit and a wearable wireless transmitter and is designed to be added to an existing pull-cord system. If a fall occurs in a place where the user cannot reach the pull-cord, the user presses the wireless transmitter to activate the pull-cord. An audible tone assures the user that the system is summoning help. The transmitter is waterproof and is no larger than a postage stamp. POWER: Uses a lithium battery that lasts up to 10 years.
