The Handheld Braille Labeler, model 2891, is a braille labeler designed for use by individuals who are blind or deaf blind or have low vision. This lightweight plastic braille label gun has both braille and print characters on its character selection dial. The user holds the unit in one hand, while turning the dial with the other to select the correct letter or character. When the handle is squeezed, the letter is embossed in braille on vinyl labeling tape (one roll of half-inch tape is included). A built-in tape-cutter cuts the label off with an easy-peel tab. The dial includes the complete alphabet, the number sign, most commonly used Grade 2 Braille contractions, and many punctuation marks. The upper rim of the dial is embossed in braille for blind users, while the lower rim is marked with print so sighted individuals who don't know braille can also make braille labels. DIMENSIONS HxLxW): 2.5 x 10 x 4 inches. The unit uses 0.38- or 0.5-inch wide tape.
