Teaching Kids to Prepare for School is an academic tutorial, independent living skills and problem solving skills training program for use by parents and teachers working with pre-school children with cognitive, learning, or vision disabilities. This series of 43 duplicatable books or 43 duplicatable CD-ROMs can be used by parents and teachers at home or in school to instruct children in six areas - Math and Problem Solving Skills; Reading and Language Development; Developing Your Child's Physical Skills; Building Your Child's Self-Esteem; Learning About the Neighborhood; and Developing Healthy Habits. Each lesson contains lesson objectives, teaching strategies, and reinforcement activities so that parents and teachers can teach children in an efficient and effective manner. A trainer’s guide that explains the curriculum to parents and teachers is provided at no extra cost. The duplicatable books are also available in Spanish and in digital format (Word or PDF) after purchase at no additional cost. This allows the print to be enlarged and/or the materials to be put into alternate formats. All of the interactive CD-ROMs have audio and printable content. REQUIREMENTS: Adobe Flash Player.
