---- PROTOTYPE --------- PURPOSE: To create a prototype of a motorized cart that tracks wheelchairs and follows close behind allowing individuals with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury or others who use wheelchairs to shop more easily and effectively. Designer Luis de Matos of Portugal created the wi-GO, a motorized cart that combines Microsoft’s Kinect sensor with a laptop to track the movements of a wheelchair so that the cart follows close behind the wheelchair. The device could be used by the elderly and woman who are pregnant to help with shopping. AUTHOR: Scott Jung. TITLE: Wi-GO Helps Wheelchair Users Go Shopping. WEBSITE: medGadget.
