The Eye-Snap Ultimate is a voice output reading machine designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. The Eye-Snap Ultimate scans text or numbers or numbers on paper, including open books, placed on its flatbed below a camera mounted on an arm extending above the base unit. It then reads the scanned text using optical character recognition (OCR) technology and speaks the text aloud. The unit starts reading the document within 4 seconds in a clear female or male voice. The volume is adjustable using a control wheel on the base of the unit. It has an unlimited capacity to store scanned text, and it has a USB port to allow text to be stored on a flash drive. It can import and export MP3 media files. A personal MP3 player is included. The Eye-Snap Ultimate is controlled with a keypad with large tactile buttons, which include functions such as start, pause and mode that can adjust the device to reading a document with text in column or tabular formats. The system comes with software installed, internal speakers and user tutorial DVD. DIMENSIONS (Base unit) (HxLxW): 4 x 13 x 10.25 inches. The camera extends 14 inches about the base unit.
