The Drinkup Hands-free Drinking System is designed for use by people with grasping, fine motor, upper extremity, severe physical disabilities and upper extremity amputation. The system has three main components: a polycarbonate jug with cover; a food-grade PVC fluid tube and straw with a silicone rubber CamelBak bite valve; and a polypropylene and fiberglass base into which the jug is secured. The base has an adjustable arm to position the straw and bite valve. The open end of the tub is inserted through a hole in the center of the jug's cover to the bottom of the jug. It is secured by threading the tube through a hole at the end of a fixed arm extending directly over jug. The tube is then fastened at a point near the straw to the adjustable arm which rotates and extends. The user takes the bite valve into his or her mouth, bites down and sucks fluid from the jug. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 10 x 7 x 6.25 inches (excluding the tube and straw). The horizontal reach adjusts from 10.25 inches to 27.5 inches. The maximum vertical reach is 35.5 inches. CAPACITY: The jug holds 1.1 liters. WARRANTY: Limited 2 year warranty.
