Epic Aluminum Wide Softroll Caster

The EPIC Aluminum Wide SoftRoll Caster is a wheelchair caster wheel designed for use by people with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injuries. These extra-wide caster wheels have wide sloping sidewalls and an arced tread. Its shape facilitates pivot and roll, as the extra girth distributes the downward pressure so the wheel maintains higher floatation and does not sink into carpet and other surfaces. Like a super ball, the tread bounces back when compressed to minimize energy loss and absorb vibration. The urethane tread is spun-cast from virgin base chemicals and does not absorb water nor track moisture. The high-resilient material does not make a ticking sound on tile. The wheel has a 3-spoke machine-lathed aluminum hub that is bright-dip anodized to prevent scratching. DIMENSIONS: Available in diameters of 3, 4, 5, or 6 inches. Width is 1.25 inches.
