NuDrive is a manual wheelchair designed for use by individuals with limited physical mobility as a result of a spinal cord injury, stroke, or other medical conditions. It can be used on a variety of terrain as well as indoor and outdoor use. Most wheelchairs require users to propel their chair by gripping the wheel rims by hand. NuDrive consists of two Drive Units and two Wheel Adaptors; one pair for each wheel. The NuDrive wheelchair can be navigated forwards, backwards, and stopped by manipulating the levers. Users can attach the NuDrive mobility aid to their existing chair. The NuDrive Lever Drive System can reduce the force needed to self-propel by up to 40 percent.
