ClearCaptions

ClearCaptions is designed for individuals who are hard of hear or deaf.  It is an app that turns your smartphone or tablet into a personal captioned viewing screen. Users download the ClearCaptions app onto their iPhone or Android smartphone, sign in and start a call right from the app. When the user’s party answers, ClearCaptions displays his or her words directly on the screen. Users can view captions on their iPad or iPod® touch as well. Users download the app and have a separate phone nearby for the audio part of the call. While you talk on the phone, users can watch the call's captions right on their screen.
