August Smart Lock

The August Smart Lock is a front door lock that allows users who have no use of their hands or limited manual dexterity or strength to lock and unlock their front door, hands-free. To use, install the August Smart Lock by replacing the interior portion of the door’s deadbolt, and download the August Home app on an iOS or Android device (for more information about the app, please see separate entry). This app must be downloaded on the user’s smartphone to operate the August Smart Lock. Whenever the user approaches his or her front door, the August Smart Lock will detect the smart phone and automatically unlock the door and then auto-lock it behind him. With the August Home app, the user can create virtual keys for guests and control who has access to the house and when. They can also keep track of who entered and exited the house and when through the app’s 24/7 Activity Log. The August Smart Lock comes with 4 AA batteries, 3 lock adapters, mounting hardware, and an installation guide. The August Smart Lock works with most standard deadbolts. It is not compatible with Mortise, Integrated Lock and Handle, or Rim Cylinder locks.
