This Visual Tracking Activity with Bottle Caps, Visual Tracking Tracing Lines is an activity designed for people with low vision to promote visual tracking.

Technical Specifications: 

Step One: Gather materials.

  • Recycled bottle caps.  
  • Round dot labels/markers/paint
  • Matching crafting pom poms 

Step Two: Set one vertical row of bottle caps on the left side of the child. 

Step Three: Place another vertical row on the right side.

Step Four: The adult draws a line from one bottle cap on the left side to a matching bottle cap on the right side and instructs the child to follow the pencil as you draw.  

Step Five: The adult asks the child to trace the line with their finger.  

Step Six: The child traces the lines with a pencil or marker.
