DIY PVC Stimulation Beads

PVC Stimulation Beads is an activity that is designed for sensory play. This product is intended to be used by children with autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing disorder.

Technical Specifications: 

Materials: 1/2 inch PVC pipe, 3 one-foot pieces, 4 3 inch pieces, 1/2 inch fittings, Bead necklaces such as mardi gras beads.

Directions:

  1. Glue a 3 inch piece of pipe to each end of the bottom of the tee piping. Make sure that to work fast with the glue, it dries very quickly. 
  2. Glue the caps onto the 4 ends of the 3-inch pipes. 
  3. At the top of the Tee piping, glue the 1-foot pipe.
  4. At the top of the 1 foot pipe, glue the 90 degree elbow. Note: make sure that the bottom legs of the stand are perpendicular to the elbow.
  5. Do these steps one more time to make the second leg of the stand.
  6. Last, just attach the two legs with the other 1-foot piece.
  7. Thread the beads on and glue them down.
