The Wireless Emergency Call Systems is designed for use by seniors or individuals with severe physical disabilities in hospitals, long term care facilities, or residential facilities. The Button-Mate is designed for facilities that have a push-button call system. The standard model has a 1/4 inch plug which is inserted into the call system wall jack. It includes a Y-adapter with a 1/4 inch jack. The existing wired button can be inserted into the Y-adapter. The alarm system can then be activated by the call-button or by the Button-Mate wireless necklace and wrist Help Buttons. Other plugs and Y-adapters are available for call systems that do not have 1/4 inch wall jacks.

The Help Button is powered by a lithium battery which will last for ten years or more. The Receiver has an AC adapter and a battery for operation during power outages. The backup battery is continuously charged by the AC adapter. The Receiver monitors the condition of the Help Button battery every time the Button is pressed.
