Bay Alarm Medical’s In-Home System is a wearable, personal emergency response system designed for individuals with balance disabilities or mobility disabilities. This system consists of a 2-way communication base station console and a wearable help button pendent that can be worn on either the necklace or wristband. If the user ever falls down and needs emergency assistance, pushing the help button will connect and enable him or her to speak with a trained, live operator through the base station console. If necessary, the operator will contact a friend, family member, neighbor, or local 911 emergency service personnel on his behalf. To use, the base station console’s power adapter has to be plugged into an electrical outlet and the user’s landline’s phone jack has to be plugged into the base station console. It also has a rechargeable 32-hour battery backup in case of a power outage. The help button pendant is 100% waterproof and has a 1,000-foot signal range from the base station console.
