DIY Kool-Aid Lip Balm is a do it yourself product designed for children with sensory processing disorder and Autism to make their own lip balm out of a few household ingredients.

Technical Specifications: 
Step One: Gather materials.
  • Petroleum Jelly
  • Kool-Aid Packets All different flavors
  • Cosmetic Jars/Containers

Step Two: The child adds one Tablespoon of petroleum jelly to a microwavable safe bowl. Microwave for 1-2 minutes, or until petroleum jelly is liquefied.

Step Three: The child adds 1 packet of Kool-Aid to the liquefied petroleum jelly and stirs until it is almost completely dissolved. (It will not completely dissolve.)

Step Four: The child spoons mixture into a cosmetic jar/container. The user will have some left in the bowl that did not dissolve. Discard this.

Step Five: The child lets the mixture cool for about 15 minutes.

Step Six: The child can wear the lip balm.
