Tiresias Fonts are low vision fonts designed for use by individuals with low vision. These fonts are in Windows and Macintosh TrueType Format, and include Screenfont, PCfont, Infofont, Signfont, and LPfont (each font sold separately). Designs are based on a study of the key factors that affect legibility, including character shapes, relative thickness of the character shapes, inter-character spacing, and aspect ratios that affect the maximum size at which a font can be used. Screenfont is for use in television subtitles. PCfont is for use on personal computers. Infofont is for use in printed instructions on public terminals, and is designed to be legible at a reading distance of 30 to 70 centimeters. Signfont is for fixed (not internally illuminated) signage, and its recommended usage is white or yellow characters on a dark background. LPfont is designed specifically for large print use. PCfont, Infofont, and Signfont each come with a standard zero and a slashed zero. Screenfont and LPfont come with only a standard zero. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple Macintosh or IBM and compatible computers.
