eMonocle is a large print program designed for use by individuals with low vision. It is designed to read the Open eBook (OeB) file type and other XML file types. Users can increase the text font size up to 144 points, and increase the font size of menu items up to 36 points. Additionally, users can increase the size of graphics within a document, and enlarge online forms. After the user selects a font size, the program dynamically adjusts column sizes to maximize the reading space available on the viewerÆs display device. Users can also change the background color or contrast settings. Pages can be turned by clicking a mouse rather than scrolling through text. If the e-book publisher allows printing, users can customize the font size of their printed content from four points to 144 points.
