Audiam OS and Audiam FS are audible pedestrian signals designed for use by pedestrians who are blind or have low vision. Audiam OS is an audible signal designed to help pedestrians who are blind or who have low vision to locate the traffic signal request box. It gives off a ticking sound, which can be heard five meters from the traffic signal mast. The Audiam FS provides an acoustic signal to indicate when the green (go) signal is on, and to guide pedestrians who are blind or who have low vision across the street. Both audible pedestrian signals are loud enough to be heard by blind users without annoying nearby residents. Sound levels are self-regulating and range from 35 to 90 decibels (dB). The signals come with a vandalism-resistant control unit. POWER: Uses 230 volts alternating current (AC). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): Control unit is 220 x 120 x 116 millimeters.
